Portable ATX Case

This fun project came at a time when VR was growing in popularity, and mobile graphics had not come far enough along to compete with custom ATX enclosures. This project was to create a portable enclosure out of a roadie case, which included support for a full-width/length desktop GPU, standard ATX motherboard and PSU mounting, an integrated monitor, and custom speaker enclosure.

The enclosure was fabricated to include the necessary bulkhead interconnects, air intake and exhaust ports, mounting points for the ATX motherboard and PSU, mounting points for a VESA monitor, a custom 2.5″ hard drive bay, and full size graphics card. A custom speaker enclosure was also built. The finishing touches included a polycarbonate cover with internal LEDs.
